Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor, producer and director who works in television and film. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's massive series The Book of Negroes she was a character. In addition, she receive critical acclaim for her character, she was also awarded and nominations. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel, on the stage in The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is most well-known for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In television, her role in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
