She gained fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony and established herself as a solo artist while still part of the group. Her collaborations with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly, titled "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Bad Things", respectively, reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. Cabello released her debut solo single "Crying in the Club" after leaving the group in 2016.
